Before comparing timing figures, what should be recorded? Include the instrument or observation method, dates, elapsed observation interval and the stated conditions. A short observation and a long ownership log answer different questions.

Separate an instrument reading from the difference against a reference clock over time. Keep the units attached to each number and do not merge the two into a single performance claim.

Can a forum reading replace a service assessment?

No. It is a record of that observation. If the watch behaves abnormally, document the symptom and take the record to a qualified watchmaker rather than proposing an invasive adjustment.
